Privacy policy

This policy describes the SM-Publisher development desktop application and this public product website.

Who operates SM-Publisher

SM-Publisher is developed by Brayden Holtz. Privacy questions and deletion requests can be sent to Clawd2Bot@Gmail.com.

TikTok connection data

When you choose to connect TikTok, you sign in and consent on TikTok’s own pages. SM-Publisher requests user.info.basic and reads your display name and app-specific account identifier to identify and verify the account. It receives the granted scopes, access token, refresh token and expiry information needed to maintain that connection. SM-Publisher does not collect your TikTok password.

The current TikTok integration reads basic account identity only. It does not upload or publish TikTok videos, read followers or analytics, or post comments.

Storage and use

TikTok app configuration and account credentials are stored on your Mac in an encrypted file using Electron safeStorage backed by the operating system. Account metadata is shown in the desktop interface. Tokens and client secrets are not returned to the interface, agent exports or application database. Refreshing an expired token and checking the profile sends authorized requests directly to TikTok’s OAuth and profile endpoints.

Imported media, drafts, schedules, account-related records and action receipts for other supported workflows are retained locally in the application workspace. Connecting TikTok does not send your media or drafts to TikTok. TikTok connection data is not used for advertising or model training.

Other platform connections

Optional YouTube workflows use Google OAuth and the YouTube Data and Analytics APIs. The application records granted scopes and the selected channel; tokens and upload session details are encrypted locally. Supported owner-authorized actions may include channel/video information, analytics and reviewed video-management operations. Google sign-in and channel authorization are separate. Optional GitHub workflows use scoped authorization for private draft releases. Each platform’s consent screen and policies govern its data access.

Users of YouTube-connected features are subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy. You can manage Google access through Google’s connected-app settings.

Retention, disconnect and deletion

TikTok connection data is retained until you disconnect or delete the local workspace. “Revoke access & disconnect” asks TikTok to revoke the grant and then removes the local connection. If revocation fails, the connection is retained so you can retry. Workspace deletion removes local TikTok credentials and workspace data but does not claim to revoke remote grants or delete remote posts. You can also manage access in TikTok’s app-permission settings.

User-managed exports and backups remain under your control. See data deletion instructions for the difference between local deletion and remote content.

This website

This is a static informational website. It has no login, upload form, advertising scripts or application analytics added by SM-Publisher. The hosting and delivery providers may process ordinary request information such as IP address and browser details to serve and secure the site. This site does not receive the desktop application’s TikTok tokens or media. External links and email are handled by their respective providers.

Choices and questions

You can decline consent, stop using the integration, revoke platform access or request help through the contact address above. Do not send passwords or tokens by email. Material changes to this policy will be reflected here with an updated date.
